THE TRUE CALL OF ESLAM
To people, who are aware to even a minimum degree of what is happening around them in this world, it does not come as any surprise what pitiable situation the population of about 1600 million or 160 crores people who claim themselves to be Moslems are in. They are being subjected to untold horror by all other peoples of this world, defeated in every aspect, insulted, humiliated and killed. Their places of worship, their mosques, are being razed to the ground or turned into offices or clubs. Their women are being violated and killed. Yet, this is the people who go by the same name of those who were once the masters of this world. All others looked upon them in awe and respect, they ruled over half of the total land mass of the then world. They were the people who established the way of life (Deen) given by Allah over all the areas they conquered; they ruled unrivaled as none was there to challenge them in any aspect for they held the highest position in terms of military might, advances in science, civilization, in areas of new discoveries, inventions, technology and economic strength. Yet, all this could do little to prevent the wrath of Allah when the time came- and centuries have passed since they collectively lost in military confrontation to European Christian nations and accepted their subjugation in their lives. Str8way Entertainment embraces the roots of Hip-Hop and its tradition of meaningful, informative, raw, uncompromising lyrics, in a way that the Muslim community can be proud of, and non-Muslims can appreciate.
The music of Str8way Entertainment reinforces the principles and belief system of Islam while recognizing that none of us are perfect. Much of the music addresses the social, political, and economic conditions of Muslims throughout the world. But also included, are the daily struggles of those who are socioeconomically disadvantaged here in the U.S., and around the globe. At the same time, the lyrics are down to earth and can be related to by anyone on multi-levels; sometimes provoking deep thoughts for self reflection as an individual or as a member of a community, while at other times providing the motive for a smile.
The vision of Str8way Entertainment is to unite the Islamic hip hop movement into a socioeconomic force that can act as a catalyst for change. It is also our goal to provide an equally entertaining alternative to the mainstream music which is corruptive to our youth, and threatening to our morals and values. Babar's (PirPiai)
Our ancestors originated from Kandahar (Afghanistan) and settled near Nowshera, at a place which came to be known as Pirpiai. There is a Babar Settlement at Zhob and small communities at Quetta, Multan and D. I. Khan (Chaudwan). In the First World War, 78 people went to the war as Indian army soldiers and four laid down their life. Pirpiai is one of the few villages in Pakistan that has an official plaque commemorating its First World War contribution.
Pirpiai is also sometimes called "chota vilayat" (meaning "Little England" in English), because of its high literacy rate and higher living standards as compared to other towns and villages in the country. PirPiai has a population of more than 25,000 and literacy rate of more than 90% (one of the highest in the country).
